I never deleted anything on the SD card, just downloaded and reinstalled.

I must admit that it all takes multiple attempts, apparently doing the same thing, over and over, then it all starts working.

Keep trying!

Tagging on to an old thread here rather than starting a new one.
I'm now fully ICC/CEVNI'd, the legal owner of the boat which is now UK registered and insured and I will be heading back to her at the end of next week. Still haven't got house sorted but it has tenants anyway so I'm staying with a friend until I get the bare necessities such as bedding and coffee on the boat!
Looking at the papers and the survey report it appears I have cards for both Lighthouse charts and Navionics but the subscriptions expired in 2019 and 2024 respectively. The plotter is a Raymarine e95
I believe they will both stillwork but I won't get updates, is that correct?
Is my best plan to try both for a few weeks and then renew the one I like?
The trainer on the course I was on used the Navionics Boating app on an iPad to demonstrate and the boat had it on a Garmin display. I have the demo version on my iPad and have also got it installed on my Mac although it's a bit wobbly. Seems really easy to use.
Am I right that I need separate subscriptions for the iPad app and the maps on the plotter if it use Navionics? I've downloaded the Raymarine companion app but it won't display anything without a subscription and annoyingly only works in portrait.
Also that to send routes from the iPad you have to save them to an SD card and plug that into the plotter?
So much to learn...

You are right in thinking you need separate subscriptions for the app and the plotter. If the plotter has WiFi, you will probably be able to share routes between the two systems.

Yes you don’t have to renew the subscriptions - if I was to renew ours it would be a question of budget -it’s far cheaper to update iPad version . It’s useful to have both though -I pair my iPad to reaymarine but much prefer when below looking at navionics on iPad app . Once you have the raymarine app you should be able to control what’s on your raymarine plotter by way of waypoints etc should you wish . Personally I don’t so the iPad is more a visual check on plotter screen but when logging position manually on paper I take off the navionics app.
