ooh cool- I'll definitely check the film out.... we met her in the French Marquesas 3 years ago, she was out again cruising with her boyfriend, on the way to New Zealand iirc.

Just watched it now. Absolutely brilliant...astounding achievement. And lovely the way the film brought to life the emotions and past that essentially drove her to make the journey. And a journey in the literal and metaphorical sense.

Would recommend it to everyone

Thanks for the tip, just watched it. Superb. Although I didn't have a problem with her making the trip, I did think the film would be boring. Not a bit of it. Really enjoyed it.

You can't help but admire her. However, if I had a 13 daughter I would worry about her setting of into the blue yonder by herself. Great film though.

Just watched it. A great film and an inspiring young lady beyond her years. I have two daughters and two grand daughters and the thought of any of them setting off as a young teenager in a sailing boat to go around the globe would be terrifying for the family!

Finished watching last night (while doing the ironing )... I was impressed by the (apparent) honesty of the emotions expressed. My daughter turned 12 last month... her relationship with her parents made me think....
