Anybody know where I can buy this miracle stuff?

Heard its great for coating the prop before launch, prtecting tools and anything metal on the boat from rust!

Google away - There are stacks of on_line places where you can buy lanolin/lanocote/lanoguard. Is 'Lanoguard' any different from 'Lanocote' ???

Props are, IMO, best wirebrush cleaned and polished with wirewool and then baked in an oven at a low temp ~110C and basted with Lancote for ~1 to 2 hours [Ignore the smell of overripe mutton] I've used it for over 8 years and have had neither barnacles nor slime - /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Just a clean working prop.

Why pay for a label?
Shoot down to your local chemist and get them to order a tub of anhydrous lanolin bp.
My tub has lasted three years doing my prop, rigging screws, anchor swivels etc.

Depending where you are and how often you use the boat it may work or not work with or without the stuff. I used it in the tropics and the prop looked like a cauliflower after one month. They guys loved the stuff (burp). I would put that into the Urban (or Maritime) Legend basket. Logically, why would a bit of grease stay on a spinning prop when nothing else does (except barnacles of course) /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
