K&K, this is much better, thanks. Places threads in order of most-recently-added-to is spot on, like the other good BBs we mentioned before. Just a few thoughts (not everyone will agree)....

1. Is there any way to expand the width to full computer screen? I'm wasting about 40% of my 32inch plasma here and thats 5 grand :-0
2. Why not scrap the nested sub threads within threads? In other words, just stack all the replies to the initial post in date order, in one stack. Get rid of the nesting of replies to replies. When I look at a thread, I just want to see the new replies that have been made since I last looked, and as currently formatted I have to look all over the place to find nested replies-to-replies

Like I say, not everyone may agree, but just thought I'd mention. Thanks anyway

Now you've made me get on my high horse. Your reference to Plasma Screens at 5k. Did anyone notice the new NHS Monitors for their computerised diagnosis service? They were expensive Plasmas. If the NHS is so short of cash why couldn't they use regular monitors ?

Re: LCD/plasma screens

Agreed. they always show nhs.dss/ any govt dept with massive array of expensive lcd screens all over the place, each 500 quid over crt. Also, Jfm must be very strong to be able to lug his 2-ton portable inc plasma screen around an airport.

Working on a fix to fill your plasma screen not only here but across all of our sites. As for rest of your comments the forums will probably stay just the way they are now for the near future but we'll keep your thoughts and any others expressed in mind.

Re: LCD/plasma screens

Hmmm. Actually posting this on a squitty 12inch ish laptop in hotel room in Madrid, the plasma was indeed to heavy too carry. I made the dumb mistake of getting the new Compaq Armada lightweight laptop then realised the batteries are crap (55 mins a pop) so you need a briefcase full of em hence overall weight is more than the old thinkpad. Doh. Easily-duped jfm.

I've wondered that about offices in too, including my own. For the past 18mths we've been chucking 15inch CRTs in skips and replacing with LCDs. Not at all sure why, except they consume much less power which in turn also saves aircon energy. But at 500 quid extra a pop for LCD, the energy payback must take years.

Talkin of gadgets I note from homepage that MBY is doing a test of handheld plotters next month.

Just for the record I am with JFM on the threads.
Overall excellent enhancements.
Suppose it's the price you pay for people posting a message about NHS monitors under a message about the BB!
Keep up the good work
