This one does not belong here, but I think it is a nice snap, so I put it here for comments. You are looking up Hong Kong harbour with Kowloon on the left, Green Island in the centre, with Kennedy Town behind it, Hong Kong Island centre right and the Yang Ming boxboat is leaving the Lamma Channel and heading towards the container berths out of shot to the left. In the old days she would have picked up her pilot at this point.

It was taken a couple of hours ago by a friend in Hong Kong. I like the way in which Green Island has been framed by the newish tower blocks in Kennedy Town.

Very interesting. It is not anywhere I know at all and the view is new to me. I assume that it was taken on basic equipment but it is a shame about the overexposure and burned-out clouds, though the horizon is admirably level. Although you can adjust the exposure, you can't correct the clouds, though if it were mine I would clone in some bits to make them less distracting.

The Harman family yacht, going like a train as usual, Pin Mill Barge Match, 2018. She’s about to finish. We sailed down to Harwich Harbour and most of the rest of the fleet were still tacking to clear Shotley Spit.
