I known Richard for some years we met when we was cruising Croatia ,
we spend time together and had meals with his family,
I can honestly say in normal life the guy is a real nice guy just like most of us.

All of us at some point disagree with someone here ,
it don't make us right or wrong it's our option on that particular posting .
as I have found to my own experience someone who just don't see eye to eye here you met them in real life and hit it off .

I not heard from Richard some months,
I contacted Richard after reading this thread have received an email back and I have to say I am shocked what he told me.
To the extend that I am a shame of being a member of YBW Forum,
If that's how they are now treating members .
I don't for one min disbelieve what he said especially has he back it up with emails from another forum member.

I was once ban for life my self and had to go to the editor of Yachting monthly to get her to look into it .
I believe to this day the Mod that ban me just took a dislike to me and my posting . To this day I never got an explanation why I was ban.
This may get me ban again and it does so be it .

Oh dear. I have probably missed some of the "nasty stuff" and don't like any bully behaviour. But it is a shame if we lose some of the more entertaining, provocative posters......JD and Richard S amongst many. YBW could get really/even more boring! I stick with it (I am boring too :rolleyes: ) but it ain't as fun as it used to be.

Wow, like JD, Richard was a treasure trove of practical insights, especially engines and electrics. Born out of direct experience as he used to restore old landies.

Meanwhile the forum is starting to become a bit sad, a bit repetitious, and a bit past its sell date really.

Pity

Must admit that 2010 this place was a mine of information. Checking in daily was a delight. I tend to lurk and chip in infrequently nowadays. More political argument than supporting the yachting community.
