Jimi and sin optic charts

Called in at the Met office in Exeter today and who should be there but our very own Jimi. Now I know he's a fully fledged yotnasty and I know nowt but he kept on waffling on about these here sin optic charts. Now the only optic I know and love lives in the pub and drinking is considered by many to be a sin, so was he trying to tell me that drinking and yotting do not go well together.

Or am I completely missing the point?
