I think even attempting such a trip on a jetski merits the penalty. Does rank irresponsible stupidity know no bounds?
I was thinking he should be given an award for a most adventurous tripI think even attempting such a trip on a jetski merits the penalty. Does rank irresponsible stupidity know no bounds?
That's nothing for a Scot.
Apparently they're quite happy to walk 500 miles. And then walk 500 more.

Just because a jet ski floats doesn't mean its a boat!!Are you advocating the French system where boats are categorised on how far they can travel?

Does that include overloaded RIBS heading north, because, if so, they do not seem very keen to enforce the rules. The French navy claiming that they can only escort them to the border & not turn them back !!!!Are you advocating the French system where boats are categorised on how far they can travel?
Perhaps I was on that same flight as you Rotax? I quite agree the NZ govt knew how to treat the situation and I was quite amazed at how lax things were when I arrived back in Heathrow. I am quite envious now of my friends who remained in NZ and are now enjoying a normal life whilst here we are still in lockdown , well tier 3 which is lockdown in all but name after 10 months. Go figure. Anyway normally I used to love sailing across the IOM a lovely place and they are doing the right thing to keep IOM covid free and if it means jailing numpties so be itFirst Mate and I returned from NZ on a UK Government sponsored repatriation flight late May.
I wonder if he will be allowed conjugal visits ??I can't help thinking that jail - even four weeks, which presumably means he'll do two, is a bit excessive
If only Leander had been arrested the first time he swam the Hellespont he (and Hero) might have lived to enjoy their old age.Yes. I saw that.
Feel a soft spot for him though .
He didn't give up and then walked 15 miles to see his love.
