Jet skier jailed in th IOM

First Mate and I returned from NZ on a UK Government sponsored repatriation flight late May.
Perhaps I was on that same flight as you Rotax? I quite agree the NZ govt knew how to treat the situation and I was quite amazed at how lax things were when I arrived back in Heathrow. I am quite envious now of my friends who remained in NZ and are now enjoying a normal life whilst here we are still in lockdown , well tier 3 which is lockdown in all but name after 10 months. Go figure. Anyway normally I used to love sailing across the IOM a lovely place and they are doing the right thing to keep IOM covid free and if it means jailing numpties so be it

My sister lives on the IOM, she returned from a holiday in Egypt in April I think with COVID and at that time there were 120+ recorded cases on the island (I looked it up). She recovered from the COVID but has just passed away fom Lymphoma Cancer. She was attending the hospital on he IOM on & off for the last 3 months Bute’s only diagnosed the Cancer 3 was ago at which point she flown to the Clatterbridge Ospital I Liverpool whet she died last week. He was 66 years old. Her cremation is on the 22nd bu her family livin in the U.K. plus her siblings, have been told they can attend the service standing apart from everyone else and must leave the island immediately afterwards without any contac with anyone living on he island.

we”re very upset but understand the situation and accept it. It’s a shame our government haven’t acted similarly being an island nation..

if they left Whithorn......and hit a red jet......they really would be ‘off course” ???

Bit harsh sending them to Albany!

more of a Camp Hill offence.....that’s where the young, thick ones went. Pink jet......bloody millennials

I still think the reactions of our government, for want of a better word, to Covid can be characterised in four words: Too little, too late.

Looking at the news yesterday, I was wondering if they're preparing us for a new edict:
