Hi, I arrived out to check my boat today and found that the freshwater pump was running continuously on my boat. I hadn’t been to the boat in over a week and I thought i had left the pump switched off because the tank was low.
So the model is a Jabsco 36900-0203. The belt had come off and the drive pulley on the motor was loose. So I put the belt back on and tightened the grub screw in the pulley. The motor runs and the diaphragm arm is moving fine but it’s not building up pressure.
Should I get a replacement diaphragm and try it or is there something else I should check?
Am I better off fitting a modern pump that might be quieter?
