My second rat post went because it was turning into another thread about the rights, wrongs, where's and wherefore's of guns.

I dont believe these forums have to bo solely boaty but they are not the place for contentious subjects like guns/homophobia IMHO.

Hmm, didn't see the second post about ratty infesting ya kitchen. I can't see what the problem is. The first ratty thread did drift rather a lot, which I will hold my hands up, by me conversing with Brendan about shooting. A few others also chipped in. Sorry for that. But I can't see anyprobs with discussing a legal and legitement hobby.
If people read between the lines they'd also see how red tape free boating is at the moment. Believe it of not shooting used to be the same, but look at the red tape now!
I can understand why you asked for it to bee pulled if the thread started off on the wrong tack, but if we really want to be pedantic about it. The initial thread was hardly a boating forum thread to start with.

Funny how you pull a thread and then post and explanation as to why, and then inadvertantly start a new one on the very same subject !. Incidentally if you want my two peneth Legitimate gun owners are a very responsible lot, I should know I have shot competitively for nearly 20 yrs. Any amount of legislation will have no effect whatsoever on the criminal possesion statistics.

As proven after the Dunblane tradedgy when all hand guns were called in and destroyd - there are now more handguns on the streets than ever before and no way ot tracing any now! I've held a shotgun cerificate for 12 years and legitimate shooters have no worries.
