Isotherm ASU fridge. Type 5702, anyone know where to get electronic control unit, have tried but it’s to old and not available, Anyone any ideas, have pictures!!!!!

I have been running my water cooled Isotherm ASU fridge without the Blue Electronics unit fine for about 4 years, It only runs at low speed and uses about 3 amp. you will need to fit a new thermostat which are cheap enough

Thanks John, ours is before the blue, it’s just one box with power transistors, and voltage converters, and there is no out put . I can see putting a thermostat in to switch the compressor, bypassing the control box.
How did you get The 5 volts to power the water pump,

Extract from an Isotherm document on how to test the Danfoss electronic unit

When you remove the Isotherm ASU unit you will find the Danfoss electronic unit underneath.

To test the Danfoss electronic unit

Move the battery power cables from the ASU unit to the (BIG) +ve and -ve on the black Electronic unit, the two upper tabs.

Then also move over the fan cables (air cooled units) to the black unit,
+ red to the small + and the black – to F.

NOTE
If you are water cooled, attach the connections +ve & -ve connections described above to your the existing Voltage reducer which will then run the water pump at reduced voltage

Bridge C and T with a separate cable made for the test

If the compressor runs, the black Danfoss electronic unit is OK. If not, it has to be replaced.

If the Danfoss electronic unit is OK, buy a thermistor and attach it to the C & T terminals and off you go, the compress will only run at low speed but there are solutions to this involving resistors if required on the internet

Hope this helps

This wiring solution is used on the non ASU Isotherm units but I cannot find the relevant manual
