is this diesel too big for my Crabber

I notice it's a Sulzer partnership. They have had deals with many famous heavy engineering companies over the years including some UK ones like Davy.

Very impressive bit of work.

Its the perfect size for your boat, but before you condsidering purchasing one.

I would check you have enough room to swing the prop as if its to close to the hull it will effect performance !

All joking aside " its a pretty awsome lump "

Will this enhance its cold starting qualities ?

It would certainly make your boat go, though I suspect the prop would stay still and the boat would rotate. Wow, what a ride!

Might affect the handling quite a bit - vertical acceleration is likely to be better than horizontal - like downwards. You will notice some increase in draft too.

You might also have to move the engine beds quite along way.

Is there an outboard version?

102000 hp yet it can only turn the prop over at 102 rpm. Just think how it would move if you could get it turning at 3000 rpm like any good marine engine...

I want to know if you can hand start it? Modern engines today just don't seem to come with a starting handle!

regards.
