A radio cassette player with a timer/clock enabling you to program it to record from the radio at a certain time.. i.e. weather forecasts..?

Morphy Richards used to sell one but I havn't seen them for a few years. You could try asking your local dealer.

Yup - I'm looking at mine its a Roberts RC818 - you still see them advertised in the blurb if you are a recipient of mailspeed or all the other stuff that seems to land on our mat on a weekly basis

Its really good - but...how come you need to record them - this smacks of kipping through the Sailing By.

> Get navtex, lass .. lot easier!

But the Roberts radio is a lot cheaper if money is tight, about a fifth of the price of the cheapest Navtext receiver.

I've got both but end up using the radio/recorder more than the Navtext, because reception of radio 4 on longwave seems to be more reliable than reception of Navtext.

Re: kippered and rudderless
