Are the deals really better there than haggling with a dealer one cold and wet November day?

Only looking for a small one however.....

Thanks

Nick

Re: Is it worth waiting till LBS to get outboard d

If a committed buyer, you'll probably get a better deal this time of year than at boatshow. Most of boat show prices are not much off their normal deals unless you want to do a great deal and shop at each stall, then haggle prices against each other. Personally, can't be bothered wasting hours to save a few p, and just ask for best price

Do what I did, buy the previous years model. I got a brand new 4hp 4 stroke in the box warranty the whole lot for 300 quid. Saved myself just over 200 quid at the time. So its not in the new livery, but underneath its still the same motor!

Nick, you need a big one especially if you are going to compete with that weird guy who owns a Sealine in Christchurch.

Thats exactly the sort of deal I am looking for and suppose that dealers may be looking to get rid of 2004 striped models before the introduction of the new 2005 pastel shades.

I will try to research soon

Have a look at Oakley motors in Brighton. They do a lot of previous years stuff with a good discount.

A friend of mine (Screaming Eagle) in Chichester got a storming deal on a 4 stroke 4 HP and tender package only last week at Lansdale Marine in Itchenor, b*****d paid 400 quid less than I did for the same thing in July!
