We have joined the motor launch Lilian for the trip but the weather looks awful. We are currently still in Richmond.

My mate Barry is taking his beautiful yacht, Random across to Douarnenez along with another mate Mark (son of TonyMS here). I think this is part of the Brest Festival.

I was, but abandoned the idea about 2 weeks ago for numerous reasons. I have been watching the weather and thinking that I had planned to leave on Saturday though. Very tough now for those trying to make it.

No! we have ditched the plan, weather improving somewhat.... at the end of the week, maybe fly for a couple of shore bound days instead. £188 return from Exeter
