Not for us, we didn't make it to the coast at the week-end mainly 'cause of the forecast being poor for Wales and we wuz all knackered, plus have a trillion things to do at home etc, but did anyone get out for a blast, do anything interesting, see/learn anything interesting? Lets hear it.

We found David of Trafalgar Yacht services who has kindly agreed to give us his sons mooring whilst we are re-fitting the corsair, and will now get all the work!
Still might be able to leave in June. Depends how quick the beneteau 311 sells, but had a couple of calls for her over the weekend. So not a bad weekend at all. Still trying to rent the house in sovereign harbour, sell the cars etc etc etc.................

We're still smarting from our interesting weekend last month when we tried to launch our new boat in a gale... That's as much interest as I need for a while.

Walking along my pontoon saw a 36' Princess trying to berth. He was tied up by the bow but fishing about with his boat hook trying to catch his stern shoreline. Sort of thing that can happen to anyone. I offered to help by passing him the stern line so he could pull himself in. I was met with a tirade along the lines of " I've been doing it every weekend for years and I'll mange it myself ". Sorry I asked.

Got the Maxiroach Genoa fitted on Saturday, (with massive vertical battens....). Completes the roll up set. Hopefully we'll see how they set and what they do on Friday.

Proves the old saying Bill that "some people would rather fail on their own than let someone else help them be successful"

Wasn't flying a Forum Burgee by chance?:)

Re: the russians are coming

I could not believe my eyes this weekend .
Since putting the tug in after xmas I've had the river to my self and got used to not looking for other craft until the river end at the Wash.

They were queuing up to put boats in on the slip, even the low tide did not stop em there were poxy jet skis as well GGGRRRRRRR.
The tide was only 5.5 so that meant the water didn't even get up to the drop off section of the slip ,one bloke jacked his trailer up and forced the speed boat off with a thump !!!!
So now I have the speed freaks to contend with.
I bet it upsets the seals who have young pups along the river.
