Contemplating adding another fuel filter to a Longbow just after the fuel tank so some questions

1, The main contenders seem to be Racor or Delphi/ Lucas, I think Racor are better but their range is enormous, and hard to select from at my level of understanding, ease of draining/ changing elements would be key. Anyone got a recommendation?
2 I think you can get a Racor where you can drain or change the paper element without having to bleed the lines, is this better than spin on and how do you refer to it?
3, Are these things handed or can the flow go either way, (bulkhead with fuel line going across it from right to left in this case)
4 Is 10 micron right for the primary filter element where there is another after plus the one on the engine?
5 The fuel line it is going to be inserted into is 5/16" OD copper (8mm) what sort of adapters might be needed?
6, To fit a tall assembly the fuel line will have to be raised, just after the tank exit cock, any issues?

Asap Supplies sell both makes, any others worth talking to, we want to be able to buy a package that can be inserted in to the line with the minimum number of joints?

Racor have recently brought out a range called the 'Snapp' filter. Looks like a quick, cheap (<£100) and easy install. However, they will stiff you thereafter for replacements (£30 a pop).

I've just headed this route as a quick solution on the new (to me) boat. Although when time allows, I wil fit a duplex system with a vacuum guage.

Are not Racor more for a MoBo that guzzles fuel, unlike a Yacht which sips the red necter

I've just fitted an SSL 'screw-on filter' by Delphi - much cheaper than ASAP with UNF threads, same casting as original CAV/Delphi but screw-on, does not have glass bowl but does have a drain for any water. Makes changing the filter a doddle.

We swear by Racor and ASAP

The 120 for instance, suits our Yanmar 30YM and is trouble free. Although the filters cost £20-25.00 they do not get changed that often in a normal coastal cruising season. I have to confess to being defeated by CAV Delphi ones, though keep one as a spare.

You get a choice of flow arrangements and fittings included. Sorry do not know the sizes and would call ASAP.

Cheers
