Having hit middle age [it did not hurt] I have found some of these things true and I know I have some to look forwards too!!!!!
We knooooow we have reached this elevated honouree position when;
You puff your chest out in your well practised way and when looking down expect to see your toes and see your ankles!!
The coil of rope you have used for many years as a bow line now seems to have grown in length and weight!!
That nice new jacket you picked up at the SBS a couple of years ago is now 15years old.!!!
You find a bag of worn out boat shoes in the cupboard and count 10 pairs!!!
Your Pride and Joy, the boat you brought new has just had the 6 th new model launch!!!
With so much information in your head from years of experience, it now takes a couple of minutes to access the right bit with so much to choose from.!!!!
A youth says to you “COOL MAN” and you fetch him a jacket!!!
You mention “DISCO” and everyone laughers!!!
When looking at a new mode of transport you ask “How many miles to the gallon “rather than, 0-60 time and top speed.!!!
Anyone under thirty looks to young to drive!!!
Your small change jar has old penny’s covered by ½ penny’s in the bottom!!!!
You suggest afternoon tea with crumpets and they start eyeing up the girls or give you a talk on healthy eating,
