Win a bottle of Mermaid Gin

I was also promised a bottle of rum for a picture featured in the magazine of my boat in Malta.

I understand the magazine blame the drink sponsor, however I’m surprised that when they discovered that some of the promised prizes don’t arrive they don’t put their hands in their pockets to resolve the poor publicity that arises.

<--- Last competition I won, made the headlines of the newspaper here "Schot Sheit Slingerend Sinisaple" Scot shoots thrown orange (well it was a tangerine...) got a medal for it and was King of the club for a year, as the club was inaugurated by King Leopold I had to swear to protect him and his heirs, something like an informal version of the Loyal Company of Archers is in Scotland.

This was the actual photo taken when lining up the winning shot, a friend photoshopped the crown on and sent it to me
Boy that was a while ago
I note that I was using heavy slow arrows for that competition, the faster carbon arrows that I normally use can pass right through the back stop so I tend not to use them at short distances of under 25m

At another competition
I did not win overall but won the seniors section in this competition, and I only shot two thirds of the competition, at that point I was level with the eventual winner, a friend got an arrow stuck in his leg and I had to take him to hospital
