Important New Update for AIT2000/CLB2000/AIS200N2Net
We have just finished testing and approving an important new firmware update for our popular AIT2000 and CLB2000 Class B Transponders and top of the range AIS200N2Net Receiver. Along with the new firmware, comes a new version of proAIS2 and new Windows Drivers for the USB interface.
This new Version 1.7 fixes a pesky bug that caused the USB connection to drop out after 4-5 hours of use. Not every installation seemed to be effected by this problem and Mac/LINUX users or the many customers that only used the USB connection to program their transponder would never have detected this bug.
The problem has now been traced to the way the ST Microelectronics Virtual COM port driverV1.3.1 talked to the AIT2000/CLB2000/AIS200N2Net and to fix the problem it was necessary to release new firmware and a new Windows driver.
Anyone who uses our AIT2000, CLB2000 or AIS200N2Net with a Windows PC (via the USB connection) should definitely install this update, but even if you don’t fall in to this category, the update is well worth having along with the new version of proAIS2 that now provides a new internal and supply voltage check – very useful for fault finding wiring or battery problems.
