I\'m a sailor, get me out of here.......

.........."here" being the rat race. I've run it, done it, and don't want to play anymore. I want out!!!

I am tired of being a slave to the 9 - 5 salary that funds the consumables that are supposed to make me happy, but, sadly, don't. The salary that gives me a tax free contribution to a pension that is going to be worth zip by the time I can get my hands on it. A pension that will probably be of no use to me whatsoever because I will either be too old and knackered to complete the claim forms or, just plain dead!

I am pleased to say I am one of those really useful people with all sorts of skills such as qualified engineer and practising accountant, experienced manager, computing, house refurbishment, day skipper, car driver, motorcycle rider, etc., etc.

All I need now is to acquire my liveaboard, a modest part time income to fund it, food, the ocassional pint of the black & white and to enjoy whatever else I may be fortunate enough to experience.

Kim, I am not just another "Trembling Brigand". I am currently securely employed with good salary + car + BUPA so this is not a jobseekers freebie. It really is a genuine "I can probably help you more than you can help me" opportunity for the Scuttlebutt brotherhood. Please don't deny them!!

SO - Kim willing, is there anyone out there with sailing / boat based businesses, needs, or contacts on the UK South Coast or abroad that could use a really useful person once in a while when the pressure builds. No contracts, no commitments, no cheques, just good old fashioned reliability and honesty.

Some of you will probably dismiss this as yet another case of "mid life crisis". To be honest you could be right. I prefer to think of it more as the "life's too short - get a life" syndrome. And if there is one thing I don't do it's sit on my arse and do nothing when I feel something needs to be done!

I would be very interested to hear from kindred spirits. We could have the potential for a support group or Co-op or even a new Forum.

Serious, non derisory responses, please PM.

Thanks KIM!!!
