If I were to change my boat, this would probably be my top choice.

It looks elegant, sails well, fitted out for short handed sailing with push button sail controls, pilot house seating, lifting keel, retractable bow thruster, watermker, generator, etc, etc, etc.

The only down side is it is in New Zealand and is for sale for about £600,000.

Boat of the Year - Elliott 1600 Tourer offered for sale by original owners (sail-world.com)

Very nice. (y)

Closer to home, you might be able to find one of these: Boréal : 6 models to accommodate your needs | Boreal Yachts

Boast most/all of the features of your Kiwi based boat.
A Boreal would be 'if I win on the Euromillions' boat.

She looks lovely however with all of these swanky new boats that have an internal skin its a real job to get at the back of fittings, there are the obligatory no fiddles around anything in the galley or the table so everything is quickly on the floor when underway. The windows are lovely very airey and light, but night sailing anyone in the saloon could quickly ruin your night vision.

We went on a number of new ones when we manning a stand at Soton boat show and they are virtually all the same, the insides seem to have been designed by some bloke who does caravans or motorhomes, they look lovely for having some friends over for a bottle of bubbles and a plate of nibbles tied up alongside, but underway in a wind over tide solent chop no thanks.

I saw the 44 version of one of those in Ostend a short while ago ( pre covid) ago & it is really one of the more ugly looking things afloat

I agree, it's not exactly a headturner.
But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

When it comes to beauty, I will always have this: ?

I am with you on the Boréal. Outstanding expedition boat. Met Sila and her crew in Brittany many years ago and again in Falmouth three years later after a wee trip across the atlantic, into the pacific and down to South Georgia and back all done with a family of four.

An earlier iteration of the Elliott 50 was built for a British couple who had sailed out there in a more traditional N European boat. Sailed it all round the Pacific then back to UK and finally Malta where it was sold.

Doubt the boat would ever be a concern in a bit of Solent popple.

The Elliot looks much like any other boat to me, but why does the site keep opening new tabs as I scroll down? I ended up having to close about eight of them, in Firefox.
