It may be a vastly overpowered boat - but as it can be run at low rpm and maintain a reasonable STW - it is remarkably economic. I know boats similar size with smaller engines that burn more fuel to do similar.
When I towed another boat at 5 kts (Alacrity 19) - I averaged about 2.5lt/hr.

Not bad for ancient old lump that previous engine owner scrapped ! I picked it up for a song - fitted it and never regretted it !

About 1800 miles.

Two tanks, each 150US gals. Burn 1gal an hour for 6kts in calm water. Biggest advantage is to be able to fill up cheap in e.g. Puerto Rico then spend three months in Bahamas without ever going to a fuel dock. Fill again in Florida.

Get to use it a lot round here, now in British Columbia we need them to be issuing a 'strong wind warning' to make it worth hoisting sails. So we motor and admire the scenery.
