How do you rig a Barber hauler?

Its a sheet system to control larger sails. Does anyone have any more info how it is rigged and its effectiveness? Many thanks.

it's a second sheet used to alter the direction of pull. Rig a line from any suitable anchor point, either to the clew of the sail or to a rolling hitch on the sheet. Permanent or more sophisticated versions use snatch blocks.

A good example is to flatten the genoa on a close reach by pulling the sheet outboard, this allows the sheet to be tighter without stalling the genoa.

Just experiment.
