Walked around the restored Albert Dock area Tuesday night while visiting on business. Three of us chose to eat at Mister M's Seafood restaurant and it was dreadful. Very high prices (Lobster was around £55, Seabass £24 and vegetables extra on top, and the wine prices double the usual UK rip off), but mediocre quality to boot. My scallop starter (3 titchy things, could have been 3 halves) was cold and yet overcooked and dry. The Seabass was overcooked and dry, the Turbot 2 of us had was also overcooked and dried out. The vegetables (£3 each selection) were cold and tasteless because they were cooked (swamped) with herbs. We were kept waiting ages for the main course (yet it arrived overcooked and luke warm). The other restaurants in the area looked similar but may have been better quality, they have gone for trendy (noisy music, even RAP) lots of tables, pseudo smart 'US Grill' type styling.
The only saving factor for me is I didn't draw the short straw for the bill!
