Well known fact that any airfield is always a least 10C colder than the surrounding countryside.

Benson is always quoted on TV for local low temperatures when the frost comes..

Thats because that's where the local weather station is - google EGUB and you will see the METARs (Met reports) from the station.

Yep we have met guys here. I can also confirm it is flipping cold in the winter
