With the continual change of ownership of the Taylors Cooker company we are now being told that we cannot get spares (burner tap/regulator) for our 041 cooker. I have done a web search but most suppliers point back to Blake/Lavac/Taylor as the only spares holder but the latest owner does not seem to have any spares for the cookers they are still selling! Does anyone know of any spares stockholders around or even source of second hand spares?

Might be a long shot but an Ebay seller was offering brand new burner assemblies which would suit a Taylors. Have look... if the bit doesn't do the job he may have other spares.

The 040 was a modified caravan cooker built in Canada. If the 041 is the same, perhaps try the caravan suppliers.

What spares do you want? If its manufacturable, I might be able to oblige.

Afaik the Taylor 041 was a rebadged Kenyon.
No spares available.
Bit the bullet and scrapped it for a little Nelson.
Then got a great 4 burner Force 10 on EBay for £150 - result!

I do have some 041 spares that came with the boat but as I’m away sailing for the next couple of months, and the spares are at home, that doesn’t help much! However…

David Stopard at Marine Systems Engineering Ltd Marine Systems Engineering completely refurbished our 041 and it came back like new. The refurbishment includes replacing the Taylors specific bits with modern and readily available items as well as a thourough overhaul and spruce up. He also provides a parts list of the components used so any further replacements should be straightforward to source. It’s just possible that he may have some used spares too.

Even though you could bit one of the current cookers for less than the cost of a refurb (ours was just under £700 about 4 years ago) the Taylor’s is a quality beast and will last ‘forever’. Not only that, it’s big, so retrofitting a smaller cooker means work to modify the galley. Have your cooker refurbished, you won’t regret it!
