'fraid you will not find many Capricorn owners here but you will find a fairly friendly bunch geezers and geezesses who have one thing in common... an interest in boats.

It's not a Broom in the sense of a Broom Broom but (I think) a cousin of the family. It's the speedboat. So it's a Broom Broom but not a Broom Broom

Col? have I got it wrong? Isn't the Capricorn the speedboat with a sliding roof. If not I stand corrected. Got me worried now, is my old age affecting my remembering what Broom is a Broom Broom and what Broom isn't a Broom Broom but also a Broom by Cousin Broom. Maybe my mind needs sweeping.

Thanks Brendan, I feel relieved now that I know my first Broom was the correct Broom and not a Broom from Brooms but a boat from Cousin Broom.

Somewhere I have an old black and white photo of a Broom in the 60's. Small open top with outboard, that was the first boat of a friend of mine. No idea what model it was though.

Maybe I should send it to you for forensic analysis and identification

Broom speed boat does sound like a contradiction in terms. And no where to hang the nets either

Hi, I have the 1975 Boat show model in purple, fitted with a 5.7L mercruiser. I love the boat and would never sell it, although keeping it going is getting sxpensive. I was going to name it 'Shagadelic' as it is very Austen Powers. Last season I suffered a slow seize after loosing most of it's oil, so need some engine work. How do I post pictures here?

To post a piccie here you first need put the picture on a webpage somewhere. You then type (image)http://www.freeware.mcmail.com/atsea.JPG(/image) with two important differences, the curved brackets should be square ones like this [ ] and the address inside should be the address where you have placed the photograph on the web.
Here is a piccie of my boat using that formula
