Cardiff Marina have been commissioned by West Somerset Council to partially dredge the harbour over nine days starting next week. Sadly the marina is not included so no change in there.

They will do a great job. Why is the marina not getting done? Lack of funds maybe?

Separate business/ concern. Council maintain the outer harbour, the marina company maintain the inner (marina).

Apparently the nine day contract cost £40,000 so it will be interesting to see what they can achieve in 18 tides and provide an indication of what a marina dredge would cost.

AIS shows Arco Dart heading that way but nothing on the webcam yet.
It is currently near low water - high water is 1600 (Sharpness).

Cardiff marina doesn't own Arco dart, Cardiff marinas dredgers are pretty small.
