I just wanted to highlight the excellent service I received from Suffolk Yacht Harbour over the weekend and today. I had managed to get a mooring buoy pickup line around the prop off Harwich, and was towed back to Suffolk Yacht Harbour on Saturday. They placed the boat into the crane bay and today they lifted out, removed the line, found no damage to the sail drive or prop and are relaunching her. Excellent service from them all round. Even better news, they are replacing the pontoons into West Harbour this week and therefore berths should be available by the end of the week, which means my days on the tricky hammerhead berth are coming to an end. The issue has been the introduction of new regulations on sinking new pilings, and although they applied in Oct 25 they told me today that they have still not had permission granted. Thus they are going to replace the pontoons, and replace the pilingss one pontoon at a time when they get permission.
