We are leaving Chichester for Swanwick Marina on 1st April. Perhaps I should know this, but are there any annual harbour dues payable by resident Hamble bertholders a la Chichester Harbour?

Our Hamble Harbour dues are covered by the Marina (Eastlands) as part of the mooring fees. They issue us with the licence.

Welcome to Swanwick Marina - your Harbour Dues are included in your annual berthing agreement. The office will hand you a disc to stick to the side of your boat.

You actually get issued a disc?!
I've been moored in Hamble for 4 years now and never seen one! Was at Mercury for 3 years, Hamble Point last year and back to Mercury this year.
I've never been challenged by the harbour auth for fees either...Hmmm

Yes, you do get issued a disc from your marina on the Hamble.
I wondered the same last year and just kept quite - listening to all different stories..... but then I just asked in the marina office for my Harbour Dues Sticker and they gave it to me.
But then, I do pay for a years mooring - so Im not sure on shorter terms what happens.
I have copied the following from the River Hamble Harbour Authority website:-
"The River Hamble Harbour Authority is financed solely from the collection of Harbour Dues which is collected from all River users. Dues are collected from marinas, boatyards and yacht clubs, boats launched on slipways, dry stacked and dry sailed"
