I have tried to search this but for some reason I can't access the search facility here.
I read on another forum that HR especially certain modles have had problems with hull delamination. Is this the case and if so is it resolved?

Blimey! Thought halberg rassey was the db? To be fair all manufacturers have problems somewhere along the line but my concern would be buying one with the attitude that HR take.

I believe it was a problem with one HR37 produced in about 2007. HR apparently had problems with a small batch of hulls, most of which they destroyed. The underlying quality and integrity of HR boats is very high (yes, I'm a happy owner).

Yes indeed it was a problem with ONE, and HR were not allowed to investigate themselves into the hull "problem" and apparently the particular owner had also had a similar problem with something else he had bought, if memory serves me right..
(and NO I don't own one, on the contrary I own the neighbouring competitor Najad, far better boat;))

Search Engines work better if you get the spelling right. Starlight Yachts had much bigger problems oncw, doesn't make the boats rubbish though.

delamination/osmosis.

Yes I know some very dispirited joint owners who had no comeback from HR.
Go for a hull guarantee of 10 years or more.(don't know how they had the price of a joint left(!!!)

Perhaps we all won't buy Korean cars, but 7 year warranty goes a long way towards making a deal!

There are still get out clauses the builders or agents can use, such as 'you must have broken it'.
The other snag is that you don't buy from the builder direct, but through an agent, who might be one man and a dog with no assets.
