So Jeremy Clarkson was dead right. the planet is perfectly capable of repairing itself & we can forget about all this global warming carp.
Yes, but the catch is that we all have go away to let it. What would be a sustainable population for the UK? I've seen figures of less than 20 million, so at least two third of us have to die out, and the rest need to reduce their standard of living significantly, or, at least, change it - no more jetting off across the world for holidays, no Chilean strawberries or New Zealand lamb.

It's worth remembering that Southampton is as far north as Labrador, so if the Gulf stream does go away, England's green and pleasant land is going to get a LOT colder. Scottish lochs frozen, sea ice, and so on.

Personally i would be happier if we just directed our efforts to the problem of general pollution in respect of waste.
Fly tipping, The populations attitude to rubbish & of course the waste discharged into our oceans.
I do not believe global warming is such an issue that can be altered by man. What man can do is tidy the place up a bit.

It would be a lot more than the Scottish lochs frozen, according to an article I read some years ago.

The only upside I can think of is that it's unlikely to happen before I pop my clogs.

True. but.....

”Now, Swan says, following current projections, the median sperm count is set to reach zero in 2045. “That’s a little concerning, to say the least,”

Might as well forget about global warming then? ?
Well I've done my bit. ?‍?‍?‍?

But just a minute, how can the median count be zero? Half the counts would have to be negative. The statistical analysis is a bit concerning.

Whereas I'm the opposite, and think the personal efforts on separating rubbish, while useful in of themselves, are utterly useless against anything like this on a global scale, and only governments can tackle it by legislating.
There is a reason Londoners dont die of smog poisoning anymore, and it wasn't prevented by personal attempts to reduce pollution!
