Yes, but the catch is that we all have go away to let it. What would be a sustainable population for the UK? I've seen figures of less than 20 million, so at least two third of us have to die out, and the rest need to reduce their standard of living significantly, or, at least, change it - no more jetting off across the world for holidays, no Chilean strawberries or New Zealand lamb.So Jeremy Clarkson was dead right. the planet is perfectly capable of repairing itself & we can forget about all this global warming carp.
It's worth remembering that Southampton is as far north as Labrador, so if the Gulf stream does go away, England's green and pleasant land is going to get a LOT colder. Scottish lochs frozen, sea ice, and so on.
