Whit Doune?

As usual, I've managed to lose the place again, what with all that Bible and Ellen etc. Now are talking Doune near Stirling on 19/2 - or one of the other Dounes?

As it happens, I'm due back that day, but don't know whether jetlag or Mrs Sgeir will allow me out to play. Need to come up with a plan - any suggestions?

Re: Whit Doune?

How 'bout you put up a post on Virtual Pub and we start all over again with the proviso that we stay strictly ON thread this time.

DONE: From a light-hearted thread in Shufflebum, the following seems to have emerged as a serious proposition:

Bar: The Woodside

Location: Doune (the one between Stirling and Callander)

Date: Saturday 19 February

Not boaty, unless you fancy canoeing down the Teith. B&B accommodation in the village.

Incidentally, fans of Ian Banks' Whit may be interested to know that much of the book is set just near there.

Who's up for it?

Come on Dave, let's be serious.......... Anyway, the thread started out as being hypothetical re etiquette.

But I'm still working out what I'm going to say to Mrs Sgeir. Although she might be up for it herself.
