Got an MP3 player - discovered ipodder yet? NB

Here a great way of wasting a few hours.
The future of broadcasting - sort of radio on demand - but sorting the chaff from the wheat is taking some time. Great stuff though. My favourite so far is Engadget
Visit http://www.ipodder.org and download the ipodder software. Sign up for podcasts of interest - check out http://www.podcastalley.com for suggestions - then using MediaPlayer4 auto sync the feed with your MP3 player.
Driving to work will never be the same again!

In a similar vain, SWMBO was given a Sony Walkman as a leaving present before christmas that came with it's own software that enables up to 30 albums of 700MB each to be compressed enough to go onto 1 cd. Although the quality is slightly affected just 15 albums of selected audio must be enough for anyone on cold nights watch and at that it sounds just as good as the original. It even has a built in cd case to hold 10 cd's. I make that a potential to carry some 350 hours audio! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Many years ago I got a cd of every Beatles album with each track cross-referenced to other albums that it was on as well as full lyrics. I think it's in .wav format but the quality is pretty good and the presentation is brilliant.

Don't get rid of your vinyl. I just bought 'Nice Enough to Eat' up here in the Granite City and go some rare plastic for my xmas too. I've just got to get round to converting it all onto the jukebox on my computer.

Sad to relate, I still have a copy of "In the Court of the Crimson King" cluttering up my living room. I can't say I've played it much recently, though I put on "Moonchild" if I want to clear the room of children.

My favourites are Coverville, The Dawn and Drew show, and of course the Daily Source Code.

Yes, indeed. To be fair, the Doves credit Fripp, Giles, Lake, Macdonald, Sinfield, Cobley et al on the album and don't try to deny that they ripped it off.

Great band; "Pounding" sounds particularly good at 30 knots, mid-Solent, with the volume turned up to 11 /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.
