Hi chaps, me again. Just got home after another days boat hunting. Now found what looked to be a reasonable looking craft, but could do with your Skilfull advice.
Boat found is a VIKSUND 31, MOTOR SAILER, it is fitted with a 73hp Perkins. Was purchased by the present owner in Norway and brought to the UK 18months ago, and has been used by him as a livaboard vessel, with the odd few days cruising.
I am told this is a first class go anywhere sea boat, designed and built on a fishing boat style hull. The boat does look pretty good inside and out, all original GRP and no paint over jobs to hide any defects. Draft is 4.5ft, and the stern is i believe what is called a canoe style, round shape, this has the aft cabin. Boat has steering controls in the open cockpit and another inside the cabin.
Only fault i could find there IS a shower but no hot water, do the Norweigians shower in cold water?? so would need to get this sorted out. Also there is no fridge or oven, just a two burner hob, but these are not important, easy to fit new.
Any information on these boats would be most welcome, thanks in advance.
