Not able to answer your question directly, but have you considered taking photographs of boats with thy type of set-up you are looking for?

This can also be very useful as you may also find how other boat owners have solved similar problems - not just with radar masts etc, but other deck fittings/hardware etc.

Good luck

i have been researching what sounds like an identical project.have found little in the way of drawings/photos of goal posts . the only place where one seems to see gantries commonly is france. suggest it might be worth a cruise across and taking a camera. looked at several gantries locally and they all seemed too flimsy for the purpose.i now have the radome[ raymarine 4kw ] up the mast

My goodness me what a lot of spoon-fed sissies we are. Must have something to do with Nanny State, the EC and the current party in power.

I drew and had made for £100 in 35mm 304 stainless food tube a 3m high by 2.8m gallows - this is pin-jointed at the bottom and stayed by diagonal and fore bracing.

It now supports a 610mm radome, an 85watt solar panel, 2 active stub aerials and a 100 watt wind generator.

That I did in 1992, and had a central join in the fabrication to allow me to fit it into the back of the car.

Doubt I can find the drawings, but if you like to send me a PM with your address I'll forward you some photos.

Welcome to come and have a look at ours. Had it made for radome, wind gen, solar panel, stern light, etc. It incorporates pushpit as well. Made by 100% Stainless in Plymouth. Nice job in 2" tubing. We are very happy with end result. Can send you photos by e-mail if you want (need to take some first) or you can come and have a look - boat berthed in Plymouth.
