Been offered yr2ooo? model in very good nick.Is it suitable for yacht chart table with it's internal aerial.I use a Garmin 126 and have no trouble but this Geonav seems reluctant to pick up as quickly or as many satallites when testing at home. How about a Plastimo Tracker at £400.

If you are referring to the Tracker 900, I was told by Plastimo (at the LBS) that it is a discontinued model. The latest model is the 950 colour.

I did have a good look at the 950, and think that I may be getting one for the coming season. I was quite impressed with it. Mine will be without GPS aerial as it will be fed from my AP GPS. I've more than enough aerials on the back end already.

Plastimo had a map cartridge of the Solent area, and it zoomed right into a berth at a marina on the west side of the Solent (not being Solent area, I'm not au faire with the area).

MES also had the 950 on display, but with no cartridge. So no demo or play.

regards,
Philip
