Genoa UV strip - Any recommendations?

It will be a faff to use a cover but it doesn't need to be on all the time at sea when the jib isn't in use. Obviously there will be more exposure of the sail but perhaps a lighter duty sacrificial strip on the sail would suffice as a compromise.

I suspect that for 99% of boats the Genny will be in use for just a few hours a day maybe 10% of the year so maybe 90% of the protection would come from either lowering it when not aboard or by hoisting a sock. Those early mornings and later afternoons when you're aboard after sailing for the day but haven't bothered to hoist the sock will do no real damage, certainly compared to the damage from use so if going down the sock route I would not bother with the strip.
