It was owned by someone who was here briefly under that name.

He posted a couple of times, asking for information about the boat, and then seems to have departed, a couple of years ago I guess.

PS
It was 3 years ago, the chaps first name was Alan, he was refitting the boat.

Hi, just seen the thread. GW as I call her, is currently moored at Maryport and is due to come out for some more serious work this winter. I took charge of her in 2014 after finding her for sale in Aberystwyth. She was looking a bit sorry for herself but the survey indicated she was basically sound but in need of drying out and some intensive tlc. After some work in Wales to get her tidied up and fit for the voyage, I brought her nearer home to do the refit that Doug referred to.

When the boat was built for Maldwin Drummond (a one off design by J Francis Jones) he wanted it to be his "home" at sea; essentially my refit was to remodel the interior to reflect my wishes for a "home" at sea. In doing so I wanted to keep the feel and character the same. Hence the search for as much info on her as I could. To that end Maldwin(sadly since passed away) and George Whisstock (now in Maine) who helped build her in 1970 in his fathers yard both helped with information. I'm glad to say Maldwin was happy with the work.

I have put some photos on my profile page but can put some more up if you are interested. Also I have gathered quite a collection of info / details about her so if you want to know any more do let me know

Good Evening, my name is Maldwin Drummond, and I am the original Maldwin’s nephew. I had a lot of fun on GANG WARILY, and would love to see some current pictures.
Many thanks,
Maldwin

Hi Maldwin, perhaps better late than never...... this was the cabinet in the starboard quarter berth. It's been recycled as drinks cabinet in the saloon .P5300015.JPG
Maybe if you find this I can let you know / see more via PM?
