Furuno fax 30

I don't understand how to get my Furuno fax 30 working on a pc.
When the lan cable is attached to the pc , nothing appear on the screen.

The manual just say launch the browser software . But how can i do it when nothing appear on the screen?

Are you sure that is what the manual says.

Check the Fax 30 Unit, if the LED is flashing once every two seconds, then open up an internet browser, say Internet explorer.
In the address bar of the browser, type in the URL of the FAX-30 which is
http://172.31.8.1
and then hit enter.
That should (if the hardware installation is correct) get you started
