Why have you got a fan, thought you were going for the keel cooler.....

Our compressor is in the sail locker, so we can just hear it from the aft heads which adjoins the locker. But it is not noisy as such - just a hum.

We found that the only it was our only option for various reasons, the only place it would go was the under the oven in the saloon, which was where the old one was.

That's a shame - just imagine its the hum from the air conditioning that you always wanted.......

The fan was slightly off center, bit of a fiddle now sorted.

I'm a waeco man... installed it 5 years back, less electronic consumption than the last & always ice for the G & T's..

Our Keel cooled FB is so quiet that I fitted a LED on my external Thermometer to show when the compressor was running.
