free moorings

As I have been asked about this posting a few times I thought it better to post the details to save typing .The moorings are at Fosdyke Lincolnshire ,the Wash east coast.
They are right next to the A17 (upstream) of the bridge. I know
that one will be used from spring onwards, but there are a few to choose
from .
The only cost is £2.00 per year to register the boat with the environment
agency .
Security is an issue but the more boats moored the better and as the
moorings are walkways which go out twenty odd foot ,it's easy to put a gate
and so on to stop any one getting on the boat .
The bridge has reasonable headroom and apart from high tides you will
,depending on your boat get through most times. Depth of water on the
moorings means the boat will be afloat .
Strong tides are the norm , the wash now is mainly sand so not much mud
about.
There is a slip way just upstream of the bridge and although it's steep with
a drop off after a point it's still handy.
Pub is right next to the bridge as I don't drink I cant say what it's like inside .
The previous users all went up stream to Surfleet seas end because the
E/agency put lot's of new pylons in .
Cheers
Mick

Mick,

I plan a trip down the East Coast and am looking for a place to leave my little bilge keeler for a month or so. Are there chains and buoys at thisplace or just space to get stuck in and lay them?
