Fitting Up supper 2014 - please come along. Enlist here.

Always happy to help with any of these requests, just give me a little more notice :)

If you're interested, I'd go SW top end F5 to low end F6 then bring it more WSW F6 through this afternoon.

I know it's probably too late, but that's my two'penne th!

Have a super dinner, folks.

Sorry we can't be with you. We are presently somewhere obscure, just off a canal in Friesland, sheltering from a tempest, with more tempest forecast for tomorrow. We are supposed to be heading for Sweden, but after a quick start, we have only managed about 30 miles in the last 5 days!

for anyone who is terminally bored, then our blog is on

Thanks for trying Simon, doubt many would have sailed any distance even in that ;)

Thanks to all for making the newbies feel so welcomed. At last faces are matched to nicknames and even real names. Thanks to Roger for organising. It was rocky and rolly overnight on the pontoon but not due to the booze! Happy days. A good season to all.

Just arrived home!!

Thanks for organising a great evening. Well worth the journey from Wiltshire

We woke up at 10.20 this morning in Mobey on the Marina Car Park:o

Oysters collected from West Mersea and a lovely lunch at East Mersea - so all in all a really good weekend

I think we would concur with that plus a bit more as we entered the Crouch. At times it seemed some one was standing on deck chucking buckets of water at the helmsman. Fortunately as Skipper I had delegated the task!

Don't think I have ever walked into a bar to a round of applause, felt very chuffed, but would not have done it without Nick and Michael getting me drunk and stealing my boat.

Great dinner, thanks Roger.

Sail back today was simply amazing! The boat just flew - we were back on the Pin Mill mooring at 1600 having left at 1015. Only saw 2 other sailing boats, one leaving the Stour and one on the Orwell just before we picked up the mooring. Sunshine, no rain. Harwich VTS was reporting West 28 to 29 knots as we sailed into Harwich with part furled genoa and 2 slabs in main with lee rail just touching the water in the gusts. BEST SAIL OF THE SEASON!!!!!
