Our fenders are in a bit of a state. Scuffed, scraped and discoloured. Any ideas for cleaning them up a bit without stripping off the glaze? I have had a bit of success with meths, but is there a better solution? I can't bear to consider fender socks!

Hi we have 16 fenders and they were FILTHY. We tried bleach, cif, cillit bang and washing powder=Non worked and it was VERY hard work. I then got very fine wet and dry using lots of clean fresh water and the result = They all look look new. We gave them a good polish after.

Good luck

My normal routine:

Step 1. Remove manky fender from skip and check for punctures. Put in back of car and take home.
Step 2: Use the jet wash.

Note, these fenders are green and slimy and it is many years since they have had a glaze on them!
