I want to replace the old worn out fenders to my new boat to me. At the moment she has various sizes onboard. What is the suggested sized fender for a 38' motor boat?

I think the question might be answered by asking about available stowage. If you intend to keave fenders permanently attached even when under way then yes go for large. However if you want to stow them, then just where and how much room have you got? A lot of mobo around here have stainless steel ring type stowage on the rails on the forward deck. The extreme might be to use pads of high density foam of suitable size. Very easy to stow in a locker. ol'will

If you can store them, I don't think there is such a thing as too big. A ginormous ball to go under the flare of the bow is a good start, then the rest standard fenders of a size not to squash or pop out when the Ciara and her friends come calling.
