Incisor. Skipper is a mate of mine. Stick didn't come down, but was going to! Don't know any more than that yet.

Assume is Tigress (First 40)... the boat is showing on the tracker as being in Cork, and has 'rig issues' recorded as their reason for retiring.

Pintia seems to have the measure of Lisa in IRC2... they have held a 4nm lead all the way from the 'Rock, and have a marginally better HC (1.092 vs 1.098).

The gaps got shorter this afternoon... 2.7 miles now... 100 miles to go...

"On arrival at the scene just after 3.30am, the lifeboat crew found that the rod rigging on the vessel was still standing.

However, part of the outer rigging had failed and the mast was in danger of coming down"

Sounds like the lifeboatman probably knew about rod rigging, but maybe failed to fully explain the difference between that and the mast to the journalist.

Cringe worthy, isn't it?
