as far as I know the standard diameter of outlet hose is 1.5 inch.

If it's not broken don't fix it.

So long as you were not looking at the inlet, that is only 3/4" and is probably a bit small for a good jobbie to go down.
Having said that it possible to get a chopping unit which can then discharge through a 3/4" pipe. That seems to be used onshore where the bog is below sewer level and needs a little boost - so to speak.

You have a pump ?

The pump action itself will break up the 'article' ...... unless of course you had a good Vindaloo the night before and then its already in liquid form !!

To the other postee who mentioned below sewer level machinery ..... some houses have bogs fitted in small rooms under stairs / corner box's in bedrooms etc. and the piping is small bore - the bog is then connected to what is called a MACERATOR ..... which is basically a nice word for a [censored] crushing pump ....... to pump the stuff along the small bore pipe.

I get this question more often than you might think...

The standard 1.5" discharge is quite adequate for human waste...in fact, Jabsco toilets have only a 1" discharge (the only US mfr to use one that small...and even they have begun offering a 1.5" as an alternative)...although large wads of toilet paper are enough to choke it. However, as long as the TP is the quick-dissolve type (the ONLY kind that should ever be used in a marine loo), it will dissolve--along with any "overload" of solids--sufficiently within an hour to be flushed through the system. But there are times in which it may be advisable to flush more than once...on land OR aboard.

Btw...the standard toilet discharge size for household toilets in the US is only 2".
