Ever heard of a Sharrow propeller?

Well I had not until I read an article that Sharrow Marine have partnered with Dolby. The Sharrow propeller is more for planing motorboats as it increases thrust and runs quieter, and also reduces fuel consumption. The blades are totally different to what we know and were developed for silent drone operation.

Sharrow prop has been around for years, nobody ever bought one because nobody ever believed it offered any benefit.

The Boat Test folk in the USA were quite impressed by the trials they did with Sharrow props on a power cat -

OTOH, it might offer less drag than a conventional prop.
